Sharm el Sheikh |
Diving World Sharm El Sheikh was one of the first Underwater Diving Centres in this part of the world.
It has been operating since 1990 and in 1999 moved to a new base within the tourist port of Marina Travco, where all the boats of the various diving centres leave, becoming an important name in the underwater diving world of Sharm El Sheikh. Logistically speaking, the tourist port of Marina Travco is one of the best in Sharm El Sheikh since it is extremely close to
Ras Mohammed, one of the most famous underwater diving spots in the world. A free transport service is provided to take guests to and from their hotels to the Diving Centre.
A wide space out in the open just a few metres away from the main docking area is available to clients that need to rinse their personal equipment.
The covered area of the Diving Centre stretches over 120 square metres and includes a reception hall with a storehouse for rentable equipment, administrative offices, classrooms
and the Diving World boutique.
DAILY DIVES
Every morning the boats set out in the direction of the most interesting underwater diving areas, usually situated at distances of 50 minutes to an hour and a half sailing. Two underwater diving expeditions are organised during the outing with a break for lunch on board between the two. Non divers can also take part on these outings and snorkel along the beautiful barrier reefs.
Night diving expeditions are arranged once a week. Boarding takes place at sunset and return is made in time for dinner immediately after the underwater diving expedition.
Diving World Sharm El Sheikh is a five star P.A.D.I. affiliated diving center. Courses are provided at all levels, from Open water Diver to Divemaster, including speciality courses with relative internationally recognised licenses. The diving instructors are all multilingual and speak Italian, English, and Spanish. The courses are divided into two parts; one theoretical that takes place in classrooms where audio-visual material is provided, and the other practical with lessons out at sea.
DAILY
OUTINGS TO THE WRECKS AND MINI-CRUISES
Diving trips to visit the wreck of the Thistlegorm are provided that entail an early departure from the dock and a late return. These excursions are usually organized at least once a week. With a minimum number of participants mini-cruises can be arranged to visit the Thistlegorm for one or two nights, or mini-cruises for three nights that include a diving expedition at Ras Mohammed.
The underwater diving expeditions at Ras Mohammed take place regularly every week. Special excursions can be arranged by boat or by land.
RENT AND REPAIR OF UNDERWATER DIVING EQUIPMENT
The Centre rents out B.C.D. jackets, snorkels, computers, wet suits, masks and fins. There is also a laboratory where small repairs can be made.
RENT AND SALE OF PHOTO-VIDEO MATERIAL
Diving World Sharm can supply underwater cameras and video cameras for the exclusive use of non- professionals. In various periods throughout the year special weekly outings are arranged specifically for photographing and filming underwater.
