The islands in front of Safaga offer a wide variety of exciting dive sites.
Just few minutes far from the harbour it is possible to reach the first reefs
inhabitated by most of the tropical species of fishes This is one of the reasons
because Safaga diving spots have been choosed to hospitate in year 2001 the
underwater photography championship tournament, on which we have given the
diving support. From Safaga it is possible to reach Panorama reef and Abu Kifan
reef, amazing dive sites with their drop offs, and the wreck of Salem Express, a
passenger ship sunk in year 1991.
THE CENTRE AND ITS SERVICES
The
diving center is located few meters far from the touristic harbour of Safaga. A
free shuttle bus at disposal of its clients connects the Diving Center to all
the hotels of Safaga. The Diving Center has a private beach, used on the first
Open Water course lessons. The main building is composed by the reception, the
divng equipment store, the class room, the bar & restaurant, the boutique and
the toilettes. on the upper floors a small hotel can hospitate up to 30 guests.
DAILY DIVES
Every morning the boats set out in the direction of the most interesting underwater diving areas, usually situated at distances of
20 minutes to an hour and a half sailing.
Two underwater diving expeditions are organised during the outing with a break for lunch on board between the two.
Non divers can also take part on these outings and snorkel along the beautiful barrier reefs.
UNDERWATER DIVING COURSES
Diving World Safaga organizes P.A.D.I. Courses, from Open water Diver to Divemaster, including speciality courses with relative internationally recognised licenses. The diving instructors are all multilingual.
The courses are divided into two parts; one theoretical that takes place in classrooms where audio-visual material is provided, and the other practical with lessons out at sea.
NIGHT DIVES
Night diving expeditions are arranged once a week. Boarding takes place at sunset and return is made in time for dinner immediately after the underwater diving expedition.
RENT AND REPAIR OF UNDERWATER DIVING EQUIPMENT
The Centre rents out B.C.D. jackets, snorkels, computers, wet suits, masks and fins. There is also a laboratory where small repairs can be made.
